Terrace Heights Improvement Association
PROMOTING YOUR COMMUNITY

The Terrace Heights Improvement Association is composed of interested and concerned members of the Terrace Heights Community. We are a non-profit organization designed to promote communication and involvement within the area. We are charged with the preservation, maintenance and rental of the Terrce Heights Civic Center. An annual meeting is held yearly at the Civic Center at Commonwealth and 41st Street. The minutes from the April 21, 2010 annual meeting are available on the Happenings page of this website. Your Association is led by a nine member board of community members. Open Board meetings are held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the Civic Center. We have an open comment session at the beginning of each meeting where you can comment to the board. This helps guide our decision process. These are agendized meetings and follow Roberts Rule of Order. The Bylaws of the Terrace Heights Improvement Association are available here.

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2012 THIA Annual Meeting. The minutes of that meeting are available here.

Board Members:

The Terrace Heights Improvement Association could use some helping hands. Committees can always use more brain and brawn. There are other volunteer opportunities too including activities for high school students meeting volunteer hour requirements for graduation. If you are interested in volunteering please call the Terrace Heights Civic Center at 248-1263. Include your name and phone number and what committee you are interested in. A board member will return your call.

 Membership

Membership in the Terrace Heights Improvement Association is voluntary. It is also very important. The funds collected from membership fees is put to many uses. The flags that you see proudly waving on Terrace Heights Drive are provided by THIA. The community pocket park on the corner of Terrace Heights Drive and 41 Street is maintained by this organization also. It is the Terrace Heights community support that makes these things possible. Please consider a THIA membership. There are four levels of annual membership available: Supporter $15, Donor $25, Patron $50, Business Sponsors $200. Mail to: THIA Membership Coordinator, 4011 Commonwealth Road, Yakima, WA, 98901. Makes checks payable to THIA. Click here for a membership form.
